Grey in the garden..

The simple clean feeling in this garden is so alluring!   I am leaning towards this style for our garden in the front of the house.  The little rabbits are less likely to nibble on these drought tolerant guys too which is a huge plus!  Hopefully this year we can put that plan into action!

Also, don't miss out on our Tastemaker sale

Natural beauty

I love that depth can be created with texture and interesting objects.  This is a perfect example and I love that marble cocktail table.  Eclectic and simple at the same time.

Long weekend...

We spent the long weekend in Northern California with friends and it was a wonderful break from reality...  Lazy mornings, wine tasting, beautiful weather, long dinners and fresh air.

I will be daydreaming about it all week while I am in the office!

Wishing you a wonderful Monday!

Edible garden...

I have a great appreciation for the edible garden..  we started working on ours this past weekend and I cannot wait to see it full of beautiful food for the family.  Do you have one?  I would love to hear any tips and tricks to keeping it green and what I should grow!

Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday!

Southern California Beach House

Gorgeous and simple is the perfect for this home.  I love the clean lines and muted colors in the decor which seems to flow so perfectly inside and out of the spaces.

Weekend wishes...

Another week seems to have flown by and I am not sure where one day began and the next ended.. but there is hope for relaxing in site so I keep going!

This is a little peek at a living room project I am working on with a special client - more on that later though...

Some great things to check out this weekend..

Andrea always has the best entertaining and cooking ideas.. I cannot wait until she has another party!
I still want to be a stylist when I grow up... so inspiring!
Totally falling for this etsy/craigslist hybrid
I am pretty sure I need this real bad!
This little goodie should wrap itself up and be delivered right to me..

Have a wonderful weekend!

Flea Market Sunday

We took some time this weekend to visit the flea market here in So. Cal.  This one is in Irvine at the Great Park and it is a perfect size for an easy Sunday morning.  We were not looking for anything special but we always seem to find something we cannot live without.

I love old rope like this.. thick and well used.  I picked it up for a little display in my family room... love it!

I picked up a few small antlers to paint and mess around with.

This is my sis.. loved this vintage piece but a little over our budget this time.

Wanted this anchor piece..

This guy always has the best style.. Loved the mix!

We hit the farmers market afterwards for some sweet fresh fruit.

This is one of my favorite finds of the day.. I have been picking up amazing vintage pieces like this for something a little unique and fun to mix it up when I get dressed up.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing around the pool.. The afternoon light on the water is always something amazing.

How will my garden grow?

Who knew that planning for landscape can be so difficult.  I truly am jealous of landscape architects and their level of knowledge about plantings and layering of live materials.  I am currently scouring nurseries in the So. Cal area looking for the perfect pieces to add to my garden now that the pool project is almost complete.  We need trees like crazy that will shield us from nosy passersby but keep their leaves for year round green and such.   Needless to say I have bought not one tree but many varieties of Hydrangea have made it home with me for my shade garden.  I love the Magnolia trees and I think I finally found the one I was searching for with the pink flower.. now the question is where to put her and should I buy more than one?  Any advice is greatly appreciated as I know there are some really great gardeners out there with a wealth of knowledge (please share).  Here are a few of the beautiful things I have come across in the past weeks while trying to find just the right thing!
