Friday could not have come sooner this week. It has been a weird one around here and I am dreaming of a retreat like this. Simple. Perfect. Love those hooks. Wishing you a wonderful Friday! Next week is Spring Break here so I am keeping my fingers crossed that that weather is nice and we can wear the kids out - outside!
How fun are the new pieces from Rebecca Atwood's Spring line?! Each piece is hand made in New York and are so so fun. I love the tangerine to brighten up the coming days!
Texture rich is an understatement for this space. The layering of materials makes such an impact in this tone on tone space. I love every inch and wish I had the discipline to design my own home this way! Gorgeous!
What is there not to love about a sweet home in the snow... I love the raw texture and the beaming in these spaces with the clean white paint. A wonderful backdrop for just about anything.
This space is so perfectly imperfect. I love the little punches of color here and there!
Also, I wanted to say a big Thank you to Dana Wolter for including me on her Favorite Bloggers Wish list today, pop on over to see the other amazing bloggers that are included!
Pretty much perfect I think.. there are so many styles that I love and I would need a hundred houses to really explore them all..but I guess that is why I have the blog so that I can enjoy them and share them all with you. This kitchen is so simple and beautiful! The detailing on the ceiling makes it just that little bit of perfect.
The simple clean feeling in this garden is so alluring! I am leaning towards this style for our garden in the front of the house. The little rabbits are less likely to nibble on these drought tolerant guys too which is a huge plus! Hopefully this year we can put that plan into action!
Dare I say it has been difficult as of late to find inspiring interior images... (shh..) I have been overwhelmed by seeing the same images again and again. No matter how I re arrange them in my head I am not feeling inspired. It is a problem that stems from my occupation I do believe! Sometimes I need a little breather to recharge the creative batteries and get started again. This however is AMAZING // deep contrast // vintage mixed with new // grey // need I say more.
When I received the advance copy of Howard Slatkin'sFifth Avenue Style I was so excited to unlock my treasure from the layers of wrapping it arrived in and I am just as excited to be sharing it with you now. Howard has put together an amazing book chronicling his creation of his beautiful home. Each room was created with painstaking attention to detail by an amazing group of craftsmen in Howard's vision. I love the down to earth approach he takes in explaining his choices for this showpiece of a home and his drive and patience is simply inspiring! A gorgeous book for the design enthusiast in all of us.
