Happy Mother's day weekend to everyone!  I like to consider it more of a holiday weekend than just one day- mom's are too special for just one day.  We are planning a little hike and a hilltop picnic for tomorrow- I am so excited!

I hope you are enjoying it so far!  It has been a busy one over here- so sorry for the delay!

I attended another workshop at Design Love Fest today on social media.. I like to brush up on these things and Bri had some great tips to keep me on my game.

Did  a little shopping too..  shameful I know.. but I picked up some super cute crop jeans and this cutie pie!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far..  we have been knee deep in some Spring cleaning around here (well really it's just me and my family is looking at me like I have lost my mind).  It feels like I am taking control back in my house, which is amazing!

A few little things that helped get me through this week...

We visited the Spring Garden Show at South Coast Plaza this week... I love to find unusual flowers for the garden there.  But I was super excited to find out that Molly Wood will be offering classes on succulent arrangements in her shop this summer!  I will share when they are coming up! 

I am day dreaming about this little dress for summer..

Maybe we all need a quick trip to Mexico?

I love this idea for a summer party... flower ice pops.. yes please!

Happy Saturday!  We have a busy weekend planned - coloring eggs//hunting eggs//awaiting bunnies// you know the usual. 

 I fell in love with this office space while in LA this week.. fun bright and eclectic.

We fell in love with the calligraphy class we took this week at Design Love Fest, so so much fun!

Kate Bosworth's home is up for sale..  I was so excited to see our Tribute horse art piece in her living room!

Fun beach ready homes make me long for hot summer days..

This weekend promises to be full of sweets and goodies.. maybe one of these beauties?

We can always use a new serving piece... this is perfect for spring cakes.

I hope your weekend is progressing nicely!  I have been busy in the garden trying to grab all of the spring that I can.

I have been dreaming of making my garden as beautiful as Loi's- not sure it is even possible!

I picked up the little sugar bowl for this set maybe I need another tea pot?

Easter Sunday... I think this will be perfect!

We are looking forward to a semi relaxed weekend here.  There is a little rain in the schedule so maybe we can get somethings done around the house too.  I fell for these little beauties this week at the market and they made an appearance in our photo shoot that we did on Friday too (more on that next week).

Happy weekend blog friends!  We are enjoying a little time on the slopes and playing in the snow, but I am dreaming of another type of vacation.

It is proving to be a beautiful weekend here in California so we are spending it pool side and in the sun.  I have been planting away in the garden and I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything will survive!

I spent a little time this week cleaning up my office to send some pictures off to an editor.. let's all keep our fingers crossed for me!  I wish is could always look like this but typically it looks like a bomb went off in my office with piles of paperwork and samples just about everywhere.  Maybe it will last the weekend?...

Everyone seems to be planning a Spring trip this year.. I could use a tropical island right about now and this would be the perfect piece.

After our visit to Lynmar Winery last fall I have been searching for a great salted cookie recipe.. I think this one might be a keeper.

We are heading into a nice long weekend and I am very excited to take a little time to relax and enjoy our weather along with a few days without plans and activities.  

Spring is coming, I just know it and this wedding makes me want to entertain outside as well as grow some serious ivy on the boring exterior walls of my house. 

I am always on the look out for something comfortable yet beautiful, I'll take it!

It is always amazing how a week with no plans fills to the brim..  maybe there were things to do and I was pretending that my schedule was open.. who knows.. Last week proved to be quite busy indeed and it bled right into the weekend.  I hope you are enjoying yours!

My goodness this week has been a little wild and the weekend is even fuller!  We are off to the Chinese New Year parade in LA today by train... super fun... I hope so!  And a little trip to the Flea Market this Sunday morning sounds about right.

Gosh, the weekend is already well underway and I am just getting to posting- sorry about that!  I spent the day in LA yesterday at the gift show finding treasure to add to the shop- look for some more great new pieces coming very soon.

Here are a few of the things that have made my week!

I want to get away.. to Africa that is.. I am completely in awe.

Is it shorts season yet..  I think I could live in these. (dreaming here)

Phone cases are an obsession.. Have this one.. want this one

Salad is my favorite thing most of the time.. I am not talking about just lettuce and some dressing.. this is a real salad

I am off to Las Vegas for the furniture show tomorrow and I cannot wait to show you what we find!

Last weekend we had a chance to snack and relax a bit and I am hoping to squeeze that in sometime this weekend too.  It is always a challenge to take a step back and really try and relax a bit.

This week has been very inspiring to say the least... here's a little of what I love!

Weekend wishes...

 

Hello.. sorry for the late post!  I spent the better part of my day digging through boxes and sorting out accessories, I am selling at Irvine on Sunday morning and have so many little things that have accumulated here and there.  I needed to get them gathered together so I could do one big clean out and sell.  If you are in the area you should stop by and see us!

Aside from that our vacation time is coming to an end and I am a little sad about it to be honest.  I love having the kids here just hanging out and relaxing a bit. We have moved on from the Christmas decor and I think celebrated the last of the holiday birthdays so it is time for cleaning out and organizing and maybe picking up those little things that were on the list but did not make it under the tree...

I ordered up a pair of these jeans which I have been trying to find for months!

Trying this even if it means I cannot fit into said jeans..

I have been adding new items to the shop and I want want this rug for myself!

I just picked up this little book too... I have to get started on that list you know.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday weekend! This is one of the first years in a long time that we have not been out of town and I am really enjoying the time to relax and get prepared for the upcoming Christmas rush.  I know that the most important part of prepping for the holidays is managing my time properly.  I will be organizing my lists and cannot wait to start checking things off.  How about you, are you just starting or, dare I say it, already done?
