Design Library: {The Inspired Home: Nests of Creatives}

 

I have been looking through The Inspired Home: Nests of Creatives for weeks and I am still completely inspired and impressed.  Each space that they included is eclectic and creative, but more than anything they are real and lived in.  Which in my opinion is the very best kind of home, here is a little peek.. 

 

Mixing vintage and new with texture and light makes each photograph amazing.

 

The details are some of my favorite things.. collections of this and that.

 

 

There is a great combination of styles and ideas throughout the book.

going dark.. black interiors

 I keep seeing and loving the dark feeling of black walls.  I know it seems extreme but wouldn't it feel like a cocoon, and its just so simple.

A touch of blue with your grey...

 

I am completely in love with this room.. the wall detailing, the contrast of the worn leather with the ocean blue of the rug....  the mis-matched tables and the frame all of them just make it perfectly wonderful.  I am not even sure what else can be said...  love..

Grey in the Hamptons..

 

The thought of summering in the Hamptons seems fabulous and this would be the perfect spot to catch up some R & R and see how things are done on the other side of the states.   This is just how I would design my beach house if I was so lucky to have one a simple modern eclectic mix!

Little black and white dining..

 

I have been seeing these little chairs just about everywhere and I love love them.  I have used them in a few jobs but keep trying to figure out how I can have them at home..  maybe my office would be a good spot. Wishing you a very wonderful Holiday weekend- I hope you have wonderful plans!

We do our standard egg dying on Saturday and then dinner with family and friends on Sunday.

Klismos dining chairs...

I am totally obsessed with the Klismos chairs, it seems I am not alone.  The chairs design dates back to the ancient Greeks so I see some staying power.  There are so many styles and types currently available it can be hard to find just the right piece.

 

These are beautiful and the legs are so elegant.

 

Clean and contemporary and I love the boxy feel of the back.

 

Simple and modern with upholstered seats and nail head detailing

.

I love the open rope style seat on these.

 

Contemporary legs and an open back.

These are the beauties that I am waiting on for my own kitchen with a little bit of it all and the contrast in color they are perfect for me!

Brass accents in the bath...

 

It is amazing how everything seems to make a comeback.  This bath is classic and modern all it the same breath which I love.  The two different mirrors make it feel real and I think that is the most important part about a beautiful space!
