at the table: Easter in lavender and gold

 

It's almost Easter, I love Easter, it is full of sweets and family and it's not overly stressful!  I found these gold rimmed vintage plates at the flea market and knew they would be a perfect main attraction for this table setting.  Wishing you a wonderful weekend and holiday!

weekend wishes...

 

We are heading into a nice long weekend and I am very excited to take a little time to relax and enjoy our weather along with a few days without plans and activities.  

Spring is coming, I just know it and this wedding makes me want to entertain outside as well as grow some serious ivy on the boring exterior walls of my house. 

I am always on the look out for something comfortable yet beautiful, I'll take it!

setting the thanksgiving table..

This year we are hosting a larger number of guests for Thanksgiving dinner so I am trying to prep a little earlier.  I have been playing with the place settings and a possible menu for each seat...

Do you prep ahead for the table over the holidays?  I am usually a same day girl but I wanted to put some extra thought into it this year.

Dinner with friends...

 

I am always curious- do you entertain?  Do you often have dinner with friends?  I always see beautiful images of big dinners with wine and wonderful food, beautiful flowers and lovely menus.  Do you do this?  I always want to belong to a great group of people who gather together to share a wonderful long meal but I never seem to make the time to do so.  

If you do gather with friends I have some questions..
