Bold entryway

 

I love bold pieces that are simple at the same time.  This cabinet piece has clean lines but makes a serious statement with the texture and the finish.  Paired with the simple chairs and accessories, along with the amazing flowers and pop of color it is simply perfect!

weekend wishes...

 

It is proving to be a beautiful weekend here in California so we are spending it pool side and in the sun.  I have been planting away in the garden and I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything will survive!  

A few things to get you through to Monday...

Boutonne has added some beautiful new pieces for Spring..

I want//need this top.. perfect for a trip to Paris, right?

Speaking of Paris.. I could use another trip!

I enjoy winter from a far but not sure I could handle the real thing!!

Can I invite you over for dinner and you can bring this with you???

going dark.. black interiors

 I keep seeing and loving the dark feeling of black walls.  I know it seems extreme but wouldn't it feel like a cocoon, and its just so simple.

I thought it might be nice to ease into the weekend with a beautiful kitchen image.  I love the softness of the cabinetry and the contrast of the natural wood- um and the floor is fabulous!

I am completely in love with this snippit of a space.  The dark doors as a devider are super fun - we could totally do that - love the lights// love the chairs.

Grey in my kitchen

 

Our kitchen has been finished for just about a year now and we love love it.  I am so excited to be able to share some of the beautiful photos that Ashlee took for us while she was here.  The way she photographs is so so amazing!  Just the right feeling for my design style.

I am so excited to share the finished product with you first!

Clean and Simple {pond australia}

 

I love the simple display and clean feeling of this shop.  It reminds me of the shops in Paris that display individual piece but when you purchase they pull a freshly wrapped piece from the back.  What a wonderful way to shop!

Bold in black... 47 Park Avenue

 

I came across a single image from this gorgeous home on pinterest and fell hard!  This is such an inspiring space, and just one of many on Micheal's blog.   He covers their renovation in beautiful detail and the results are enough to make me want to paint everything black and white and add bold mixes of color.  It is beyond wonderful! 

 

 

I love the pups too!  They also have an English bulldog that is not pictured here.. yes I may have stalked the blog a little!

Darkest of details...

 

I love finding a great detail and I love using dark wood.  Most of my commercial projects require large wood desks and the detailing on this is perfection for something like that.  The nail head on leather is not to shabby either.
