I have been seeing some of the best little gold accents out and about lately..  I love this little bit of glamor in a space!  I am dying over the honeycomb table from Target above, it is such a deal I grabbed one at the store this weekend, I know I should not buy things without a spot for them but I really really wanted it, so I am making a spot for it.

As this is my latest obsession I thought why not share it with everyone... it makes me feel better that way...

One glimpse at this beautiful French home and I was smitten.  A perfectly wonderful mix of old and older makes it so special.    The mirrors and stone alone are just the right amount of sparkle and rough texture.  The result is a casual luxe that we dream about.

Okay I am in love.  I love the mix of metals//the stone//the greige cabinets//the stone.... oh did I say that twice.  I adore this mix with the marble as the back splash, perfection.

By Invitation Only: Patina

 

Patina is one of the most amazing things that is created over time.  They try to duplicate it but nothing beats the real thing.  That little chip or scratch that starts the process is so painful but soon it becomes a history that we never want to erase.  When I visit other countries I am always so impressed by the ability to have this patina without looking shabby or completely worn away.  Things have character and I love that.  I am not sure how long it takes, I suppose it is different for each, but I think that they have a special place among our other things and make everything seem real- really part of life not just staged or duplicated.

Completely love this simple setting!  The chair makes the space for sure!

greige and gold...

I know we have all seen this beautiful Parisian apartment by Gilles et Boissier over and over... but when I saw this image in isolation I fell in love all over again!  I love the simple clean lines mixed with the details of the doors, walls and the mirrors.  The dark wood.  The white sofa.  The greige rug.

Love. Love. Love.
