Darryl Carter... love..

I don't know how I missed it... Darryl Carter is having a Tastemaker Sale on OKL today!!  I am dying over the chaise...  and I think I will pick up a copy of his book that is signed too!!   If you have a chance check it out there are some really wonderful pieces still available.

One Kings Lane photo shoot...

 I spent the first part of this week getting ready and doing a two day shoot with One Kings Lane for our upcoming Taste Maker Tag Sale.  I am very excited!!  This is just a little bit of the behind the scenes from the shoot.  So many wonderful vintage pieces and a bunch of pillows!  Thank you as always to OKL for being so great!

Neutrals with One Kings Lane

 

 

One Kings Lane is currently running a color event.  Of course my favorites are the neutrals..  There are some great pieces here to get you going on a space with grey accents.  I am loving the sofa and the rug a little too much I think!  If you just want to add a touch of my favorite neutral I am thinking you need these patent leather bound books..

Finishing up..

Above is a grouping of fabrics and finishes that represent the way I typically start a project.  From here I will pull photos and ideas to see which direction to take it.  Once I have that done (sometimes it is the hardest part to find an image that conveys what I want the space to say) I work on the furniture layout and then onto the furnishings themselves.  The final step in my designing process is to put the fabrics and finishes on the proper pieces.  It takes a while to get from design to the finished product, but it is really nice to get there! 

 

 

This project actually has a few more rooms but I did not like the way my photos looked so I had a limited selection!  If anyone knows of a good commercial photographer in Northern California I would love a good recommendation.
