Sherwin Williams 2014 Color Forecast...

I am always on the search for beautiful paint colors to compliment my work and it can be really difficult to commit to just one.  Having a variety of greys and greige colors on hand while I design is so important because just the slightest variation can make such a difference in the overall feel of a space.  I was so excited to partner with Sherwin Williams to bring you their  2014 Color Forecast, and I am even more excited to share with you the idea board that I came up with based on their Reasoned Pallet

This is just one of the new color pallets that they have in addition to all of their other amazing colors I use regularly from them.  It is a perfect grouping of of greys, light to dark, to mix and match inside or out.  I am scheming to see where I can use the dark rich feeling of the Tricorn Black in an upcoming project, love love it.  A few of my favorites are below.  Stop on over to see the entire collection!

Gauntlet gray

Agreeable gray

Crushed Ice

 Earl Grey

Tricorn Black

This post is brought to you by Sherwin Williams. Thank you for supporting sponsored posts here on greige.  All opinions are my own.

Oh my...

Oh my... this space makes everything better..  I am going to vent a little... so please forgive me..

Please please everyone remember that every site and every blog has a person behind it or people.  Real people!  People who are hurt by anything rude or inappropriate that you send around about them. Anywhere.  Especially via email, these come right to the inbox- right here on my computer {hello}!  If you are going to take the time to write something and hit the send or post button you should at the very least sign it and realize that I will have a way to contact you maybe even with your very own email address.  So once again if you don't have anything nice to say please do not say anything at all, because to me and so many of us this is all very personal!  Be nice, there is no reason not to!

Okay now- is this room not totally amazing?  I love the color change on the walls I love the soft lines of the linen on the sofa and the combination of textures and pattern in the pillows.  This makes me happy!

A little of this..

Hello there, sorry for my absence yesterday... how quickly the days seem to pass.  Another busy week is almost ready to be put to rest and I am definitely dreaming of the weekend.  This weekend will be just us girls relaxing here at home, my daughter and me.  I am excited to take a little break from work and spend some time getting the house in order.
We start our final round on the kitchen renovation next week and I am excited and anxious about it.  There are still many choices to be made, that is how it is works around here.  I did speak with my furniture maker yesterday though and we are going to put a contrasting color in the new piece that will hold all of my everyday dishes, now someone needs to pick that color please!
I have pulled a bunch of greys, and greiges to start with.  I will be sure to keep you up to date on all of the selections.
I am also working with the wonderful Shari from Little Blue Deer on a makeover for the blog, it will be fun to have a fresh new look around here don't you think?

Also, a little bit of a delayed THANK YOU to Leaf Magazine for including some pieces from the shop in their current issue!

Just a little something pretty for a Monday morning (because I know we could all use a little something).  I love this color is it sooo mellow!

Wishing you a wonderful start to another busy summer week!  I promise I will try to get to my photos and recommendations from Puerto Rico, and to a few other semi interesting things around here.

megan megas at home..

So I know I have been changing it up a little around here with more and more chatting... but sometimes I think change is a good thing! (I hope you do too).  Anyway, I am going to chat this up because I simply love it.  I love the graphic pillow on the white sofa and I love the split wall with grey and creamy paint.  I love the lack of accessories and things.  This is pretty amazing.  I know it is not my home because my dog would knock that vase off of that little stool in about 5 minutes but I still love it.

This picture makes me wish I had not sold off my dining head chairs... humm.  I think I saw some yesterday and now I really want them back!

Dark Doors..

I am considering this.. I love the look of dark painted doors on and interior!  I was thinking of trying it on the doors that lead to our bedroom but I feel like if I do one set I have to do them all (which is obvious) but I just wanted to test it out.  I love that these look like a dark grey not entirely black.  What do you think?   Do you have dark doors?  Do you want them?  Do you love them?

Segreto: Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors

A little while back I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this amazing book,  Segreto: Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors.  I am a sucker for design books, they are stacked around my office and home here and there just waiting for a free moment to be opened and explored.  This book is a fabulous resource of inspiration images and information from Segreto on their work.  It offers a view into some of the most beautiful homes I have seen and information on how these looks were achieved.  With over 300 pages of interior photos and details it is a great piece to add to the design library and the cocktail table alike.

"Explore the breathtaking rooms within and enjoy a multitude of design styles by the bevy of talented interior designers, builders, architects and homeowners that Leslie has been privileged to work with through the years. Segreto: Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors gives you the knowledge of what is available today and the confidence to create an ambiance that best reflects the particular period or design style you desire, by simply applying the right finish." from Segreto.

grey stripes...

Ahh the grey striped wall.  A great addition to a space that you want to give a little bit of personality without it screaming in your face.  I love the different styles wide, thin, horizontal and vertical.  I think my favorite is the photo above with just that little something added to the entryway.

It feels so beachy and fresh something that seems to be so very Spring.

Wishing you a wonderful Spring day!

changes in the dining room...

This is a picture of my dining room from many moons ago..  I have been "changing" it for what seems like at least 2 years now.  I am struggling.. I want something unique, I want something that is a reflection of me, I want something I love..

So since this photo was taken I have painted the room Slate from Restoration Hardware, which I love.  I have taken down the mirrors and put up a sunburst mirror, which I was not in love with and I have traded chairs many times.  Now we are having some vintage chairs I found upholstered in vintage linen and I am so excited to say that I am picking up my new artwork today.  I had a pair of pieces custom sized for that wall.

Keep your fingers crossed that they came out perfect and that I like them on the wall!  Hopefully if they look super cool I will be able to share them with you when they are up.

I cannot believe we are already on Thursday- wishing a nice smooth transition into the weekend!
