I love to travel and when you find a beautiful hotel to stay in it always helps a location to be added to my list.  If there is one thing this beautiful there have to be others right?  While looking an entirely different image I got pulled into this beautiful space with a series of clicks.. completely fell in love with it.  This beautiful property is located in Italy near the Adriatic Sea.

Happy Saturday!  We have a busy weekend planned - coloring eggs//hunting eggs//awaiting bunnies// you know the usual. 

 I fell in love with this office space while in LA this week.. fun bright and eclectic. 

Some fun things from this week..

We fell in love with the calligraphy class we took this week at Design Love Fest, so so much fun!

Kate Bosworth's home is up for sale..  I was so excited to see our Tribute horse art piece in her living room!

Fun beach ready homes make me long for hot summer days..

This weekend promises to be full of sweets and goodies.. maybe one of these beauties?

We can always use a new serving piece... this is perfect for spring cakes.

Friday could not have come sooner this week.  It has been a weird one around here and I am dreaming of a retreat like this.  Simple. Perfect. Love those hooks.  Wishing you a wonderful Friday!  Next week is Spring Break here so I am keeping my fingers crossed that that weather is nice and we can wear the kids out - outside!

This home makes me smile..  I love the vintage mix.. the white... and the natural simplicity of it all. 

Besides it looks cool and refreshing on a hot spring day like we have been experiencing here in California.

kitchen windows

 

Natural light in the kitchen is the most amazing thing- that and the fresh air that the open windows bring to the space.  These windows are beautiful and open up the garden outside what a dream.  I love the farmhouse sink and the gorgeous detail on the ceiling too.

weekend wishes....

 

It's the weekend again!!!  Aren't you excited?  I cannot wait to take it a little easier and get to my fall cleaning.. I know it is similar to spring cleaning but I really feel the need to simplify and complete projects right now.  Maybe it is mental preparation for the upcoming holidays, I am not sure, but I want to clean everything out and eliminate the excess in my life.  

A few things that are inspiring me this week...

I found this while looking for a piece for a client and I need 2 for my bedroom!

I keep moving these around the house while I decorate for fall..

Natural beauty

 

I love that depth can be created with texture and interesting objects.  This is a perfect example and I love that marble cocktail table.  Eclectic and simple at the same time.

Palm Springs inspiration.

 

Yesterday I took a quick trip out to Palm Springs to look at a property that I will be working on.  I can honestly say that even though it is just over an hour away from me I have only been to Palm Springs a handful of times.  I am not sure why exactly why that is but I think I might be visiting a little more often, not just for work.  

Once I arrived back at the office I wanted to keep the inspiration going so I pulled some ideas for the exteriors and interiors... here is what I was thinking... natural wood horizontal fencing, dark stained or painted paneled doors, vein cut marble floors, slab counter tops, wall hung cabinets and mod lighting.  I love getting excited about work!

Casual Lux..

 

As the days grow warmer and longer and we start to dip our toes into summer I long for clean casual luxuries..  Fresh greenery, fresh from the farmers market fruits and berries, time worn linens and a mix of old and new.  It gives me a feeling of freedom and getting lost in the days where our schedule is less restricting and scheduled.

Looking forward to beach days, pool days, lazy reading days and little spritzings of work in between the fun with family and friends.
